Remember, each foster parent is required to have
10 hours of training per year to maintain your certification
(or 9 hrs of PRIDE training in the first year after your approval)
DFS Policy Update and Resource News (Dec 2009):
The Fairfax County DFS (Department of Family Services)
has sent out a flyer outlining new policies and some
addtional resources that are being made available to
foster and adoptive families.

MANDATORY Training
Bridging the Gap is a training course to help foster families
build and maintain relationships with the birth families in order
to help the foster children both while in foster care and during
