Upcoming Training:
Tell It Lke It Is - The Importance of Permanency
Click here to download the flyer
Saturday, May 22nd at the Pennino Building, rooms 206 A&B
This training will be geared towards permanency for our children,
not just older teens but helping foster parents to see that
even though they don't have an older teen in their homes,
even young babies will grow up and eventually need to be
connected with a permanent caring adult(s).
We will have alumni of the foster care system here to discuss
how foster parents can maintain a sense of permanency for
foster alumni.
This is NOT just for foster parents who have a preference
for older youth. The panel of youth who will speak will discuss
the life changing experiences while in foster care that helped
to shape them. Most of those experiences occurred when they were very young.
